1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Fixit Hub's website, requesting a quote, booking a repair, purchasing accessories, or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Our Services
Fixit Hub provides technology repair and support services, including phone, tablet, laptop and accessory-related services. All services are subject to:
- device inspection and accurate diagnosis;
- availability of suitable parts or accessories;
- customer approval of the quoted price before work begins;
- payment terms agreed at the time of booking or completion.
3. Quotes and Pricing
Prices shown on our website are estimates or starting prices unless clearly stated otherwise. Final pricing may vary depending on device model, condition, fault type, part availability and labour required. We will confirm the price before carrying out paid repair work.
4. Customer Responsibility
Before giving us a device for repair, you are responsible for:
- backing up your data;
- removing sensitive personal information where possible;
- providing accurate information about the device and fault;
- ensuring you have authority to request repairs on the device.
5. Data and Device Access
Some repairs may require device access for testing. We will not intentionally access personal files, photos, messages or private data unless necessary for the repair and approved by you. Fixit Hub is not responsible for data loss, so backups are strongly recommended before repair.
6. Payment
Payment is required when the repair is completed or as otherwise agreed. For special-order parts or accessories, a deposit or full payment may be required before ordering. Devices may be held until outstanding amounts are paid.
7. Warranty
Repair warranty terms depend on the type of repair and parts used. Warranty coverage does not apply to new physical damage, liquid damage, misuse, software issues, unauthorised repair attempts, or faults unrelated to the original repair. Please refer to our Warranty Policy for details.
8. No Fix, No Fee
Where we advertise “No Fix, No Fee”, this generally means labour charges will not apply if we cannot repair the issue. Diagnostic, assessment, pickup, delivery or special-order part costs may still apply if clearly advised before work begins.
9. Abandoned Devices
If a device is not collected within 60 days after we notify you that it is ready or that work cannot proceed, we may treat it as abandoned. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before taking further action, which may include storage, disposal or recycling in accordance with applicable law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Fixit Hub is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profit, or issues caused by pre-existing faults, liquid damage, hidden damage, previous repairs or device misuse. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable New Zealand consumer law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with the latest update date.
